Welcome
to Private Ear Recording
central Canada's favourite music recording destination - and
Prairie Music Award "Recording Studio of the Year"
for 2001 and 2002
Who
Are We?
Private Ear Recording is owned and operated by Lloyd
Peterson and Neil
Cameron. The company began in 1994 offering remote recording services
in
various locations, from concert halls to schools to churches to cottages.
In
early 1995 we opened our current facility in a 3000-square-foot downtown
Winnipeg warehouse space. We've been growing and upgrading ever since.
Lloyd
Peterson (Engineer)
Lloyd comes from a background as a musician, songwriter
and radio producer. From years spent performing and recording across Canada,
to a stint as music producer with CBC Radio, he has developed his engineering,
producing and arranging skills. His work can be heard on projects such
as The Weakerthans, Greg Macpherson, Nicky Mehta and many more.
As a musician he frequently contributes electric & acoustic guitar,
piano, Hammond organ and especially tambourine parts to various sessions
at the drop of a hat.
Neil Cameron (Engineer)
Neil
has been nominated three times as Engineer of the Year at the Prairie
Music Awards. He specializes in mixing, engineering and co-producing.
Among his credits are such diverse projects as The Watchmen, Christine
Fellows, Kristi Johnston, The Undecided and Cara Luft.
Neil entered the music business through his work as a live sound engineer.
He has toured worldwide with a variety of acts, and is currently working
